How long will a lash extension set last?
Eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes and truly dependent on your lifestyle and care. The glue we use has a 4 week retention in an isolated situation. Factors that break down the adhesive are makeup, natural shedding, natural oils, water exposure, sweat, how you sleep, if you touch or pick them, etc. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.
How often do I need a fill?
This is also dependent on how you care for them (reference above). Average clients gets a fill from every 2-4 weeks.
Can I wear makeup with Lash extensions?
Generally the answer is no. For best retention and long lasting eyelash extensions no makeup should be worn on your eyes. If you choose to, retention will weaken the adhesive and over time your lash and eye area will be more susceptible to infection due to buildup.
How do I care for my lashes?
Do not wet for 48 hours. Brush and blow dry on cool air every time you get them wet. If you wear makeup use applicator swabs and micellar water to clean and remove makeup. If you don't wear makeup, cleanse lashes and lash line every 3 days to remove excess oil and buildup.
Do not get near any dry heat (they can melt).
How do I dry them?
Blow dry cool air while brushing through with your lash wand.
How long does it take to apply lash extensions?
The application process for lash extensions normally takes about 90-120 minutes for a full set of lashes and 45-60 minutes for a refill. You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed while relaxing ambient music is played in the background. During application, your lower lashes will be covered and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.
How do I choose the look I want?
I always say nothing is permanent, so we can try a new style each time you come in or stick to the same look every time. I offer samples to try on in studio to hold up against your own eye. Pictures help as well.
What is the difference between classic, hybrid and volume lashes?
Classic: apply one lash extension to one natural lash 1:1
Hybrid: applying a blend of one lash extension to one natural lash 1:1, and volume lashes 3 or more thinner lashes to one natural lash to then develop a textured look.
Volume: applying 3 or more thinner lashes to one natural lash to then develop a more dense look.
Can I switch styles and types after getting me initial set?
YES OF COURSE! That is the fun that comes with it, you are never stuck! You don't have to get a whole new set either, we can blend and change with fills to try any and all styles.
How do you prepare for this service?
Make sure to come with no eye makeup and clean hair. You will need to avoid all water for 48 hours to prevent the glue from fully bonding and curing.
Lashes should not be permed or manually curled at the time of appointment.
What happens if i choose to remove the Lashes?
A gel remover is applied and the extensions slip right off in 10 minutes.
